Species Information: These fakemon are used more in their hunting skills to locate the truffles. They are extremely rare and expensive and rare collectors are willing to pay a large amount of money for them. While on the hunt for truffles, Staalvark often come across Maraccler ([link]), they may not like battling them, but will protect their trainers at all cost.

Dex Entry: Staalvark are very powerful diggers, using both their snout and feet. When in battle they use their strong legs and horns. Although capable of fighting, their primary defense is to flee by means of fast sprinting.

Name Origin: Afrikaans-speaking people call the animal "vlakvark", meaning "pig of the plains" + staal means steel.
