Species Information: They been to known to plunder nests of smaller flying types, such as Macombo ([link] and Eumovolt ([link], taking eggs and nestlings. This probably provides a crucial addition of protein to their diet. Certainly, apart from being systematically predatory as well as frugivorous, like many omnivorous flying types, they particularly prefer animal food for feeding their chicks. However, in their range, Toucavines are the dominant frugivores, and as such play an extremely important ecological role as vectors for seed dispersal of fruiting trees. Many of the seeds they consume have sprouted to them, and now share a symbiotic relationship.

Dex Entry: Evolves from Rootan at level 32. Its large bill/feathers tend to intimidate young pokemon. Toucavine seeds have fully sprouted into vines and can manipulate them, been known to create saddles for their trainers.
